Technology Readiness Levels are used to determine the maturity level from its conception to it commercialisation. It is used by research institutes to know what progress their researchers make. Venture Capital companies use it to determine the investment risks related to a technology. Technology developers and owners can use it to ensure they cover all aspects of technology development.
Our approach is that there is no sense in developing technology if it is not commercialised. The profit associated with commercialisation, drives the R&D process. That is why market potential for a technology needs to be determined early on. That is why a technology should be developed with the interests of investors in mind.
The TRL Oracle simplifies the process of determining your technology TRL. Just answer the questions. Once registered, the app will remember your previous responses once you return to the app. After each level that is 100% completed, you can select to create a certificate that validates your TRL level. By taking a screen shot of the certificate, you can share it with others.
